a match rod/bell might work? besides even with a bell ur not guaranteed a catch when ur not paying attention the fish can get off the hook, especially barbless which give you slightlty more XP. gotta read n know ur fish data n build ur setup to attract that species to be successful in virtual n irl. when we farm certain fish, dont have any problem catching one after the another to fill our nets quickly during peeks. fish do not bite the wrong size hooks either.
ouch, def gotta make sure ur equipment is repaired before you start ur trip or else why even bother going? always carry backup tackle, ya never know what will happen n leaving the lakes to replenish is expensive, plus the lake shops do not have everything ya need. FP is not 100%, devs did their level best to make it as realistic as possible as you can see. Irl, bells can be heard through the water so yeah.we use for bottom fishing, not close to the surface. not throw a bunch of rods on a stand n literally walk away or go watch tv bro. Oooook, the whole point of the game is to enjoy fishing: from picking a location to setups, experience the catch, n then enjoy the time spent.
